Keeping your kids' room organized doesn't have to be difficult or overwhelming. With a little effort, some tough love, and a structure for keeping it organized its definitely within reach. Here are some simple steps to help keep your child's room neat and tidy:
1) Keep only what is needed
It's time to pull out everything from every shelf, drawer, and closet. Look at every item and get rid of any toys, books, or clothing that your child no longer uses. If your child is attached to certain items, try explaining to them that it will go to another child to be loved or offer to store them away in storage bins.
2) Organize items into categories
Once you've sorted through the items in their room, it's time to organize them into categories. This could include:
Toys
Clothes
Books
Art supplies
Blankets
Stuffies (for us these are separate from toys haha)
3) Use storage bins and shelves
To keep their items neat and organized, invest in storage bins and shelves to separate items into categories. This will help your child stay organized and make it easier to find what they're looking for.

4) Have a home for everything
Make sure to designate a spot for all of your child's items, including their toys, books, clothes, and even their shoes. This will help them keep their room clean and organized. Take things a step further and use a label maker to help remind your kids what goes in each bin.

5) Set up a cleaning routine
Encourage your child to participate in the process of cleaning their room by setting up a regular cleaning routine. Make sure to include tasks such as sorting toys, putting away clothes, organizing books, and wiping down surfaces.
